Import the models
Voir le tutorielWelcome to this first Psy4Vet tutorial ! Before you can fully use the software during your consultations, it’s essential to import and customize your document templates.
Step 1: Access the Settings
To begin:
- Hover over your name at the top right of the screen.
- Select Settings.
- Click on Document Templates.
- Press the Import Templates button.
The number of available templates depends on the subscription plan you’ve chosen. This helps avoid clutter with irrelevant templates. The list may vary slightly depending on your software version.
Step 2: Select Templates (Example: Generalist Package)
As part of the generalist package, select the following templates:
- Email sent to owner from consultation
- Generalist header
- Email signature – Consultation and evaluation
- Standard generalist footer
- Email template sent to owner from behavioral assessment
- Behavioral assessment report – Initial
- Behavioral assessment report – Follow-up
- Prescription for behavioral assessment
Once the templates are selected, click Import.
Step 3: Confirmation
A confirmation message will appear on screen to let you know the templates have been successfully imported. You can repeat this process at any time, especially if you’ve deleted a template or wish to start fresh.
Next Step
We now recommend following the tutorial dedicated to customizing headers and footers, so you can tailor your documents to your practice.

- Once your changes are complete, click Save.
For the footer, follow a similar process :
- In the list of templates, choose Generalist Footer.
- Add your logo and your information, then click Save to confirm.

Finalize the customization of your templates
Voir le tutorielWe’ve reached the final step before you can generate your behavioral assessments: customizing your document templates.
- Accessing the Templates Hover over your name at the top right of the screen, then go to Settings > Document Templates. If you’ve followed the first tutorial titled Importing Templates, you should now see all the templates you’ve added.
- Navigation Tip. If a search is active, click Reset to display all your templates.
- Prerequisite Before finalizing your templates, make sure you’ve configured your headers and footers. These elements will be automatically included in all your documents.
- Practical Example Let’s take the template Initial Behavioral Assessment Report. Click on it to open the document: you’ll see the content of the future report displayed in the center. Once the template is configured, you won’t need to make further changes—your layout and selected information will appear automatically.
- Dynamic Variables Words in brackets are called variables (e.g., [animal_name], [gender], [clinic_name]). You can choose whether or not to display these variables in your documents. If you accidentally delete one, you have two options :
- Re-download the template to start fresh
- Find the variable in the right-hand panel using the dropdown menus
- Free Customization All templates are preconfigured to ensure a clear and professional layout. However, you’re free to modify them according to your preferences.
- Essential Step Don’t forget to add your custom header and footer to each template, then click Save.
Once this step is complete, your documents will automatically appear during consultations, with the elements you’ve chosen: logo, clinic name, etc.
All that’s left is to customize the remaining templates—often just by adding the header and footer and saving.
You’re now ready to conduct your first behavioral assessment!
